Rational design of an air conditioning water system is the key to its energy-saving operation. According to the design standards and codes, a chilled water system with variable flow on the load side and two-way valves set at terminals is widely adopted. Based on engineering design practice, compares and analyses the three common closed air conditioning chilled water systems, i.e. the primary pump chilled water system with constant flow of the water chiller and variable flow on the load side, the primary pump chilled water system with variable flow of the water chiller, and the secondary pump chilled water system. Summarizes the characteristics, energy consumption and application conditions of each system, and points out the main problems deserving to be noticed in design.
